"In 1983 I attended a Taijiquan workshop. At that time of my life my idea of exercise was based around running, circuit training, swimming and Rugby. So I was amazed that after standing in Wu Chi posture for about 10 minutes, I began to tremble and quiver like a jelly. The more I tried to hold the posture, the tougher it became, and quite frankly I found it exhausting. Watching the instructor perform a Taijiquan form in a seemingly effortless way captivated me.

This soft form of exercise asked many questions of my mind and body. I was intrigued. 27 years on and I am a full time Taijiquan instructor. Taijiquan has changed my life. It is an excellent system of health management, great for combating the stresses and strains of modern day living and ultimately an excellent system for self-defence."
